Connecting Communities in Northwest Colorado

Colorado Big Country Resource Conservation and Development Council is a nonprofit organization working to connect communities in Northwest Colorado. Our purpose is to help people develop, care for and appreciate their natural resources in ways that will preserve our heritage and quality of life.

Our area of operation consists of the following ten counties in Northwest Colorado: Eagle, Garfield, Grand, Jackson, Mesa, Moffat, Pitkin, Rio Blanco, Routt and Summit.

Aspen, Vail, Steamboat Springs, Beaver Creek and Glenwood Springs are just a few of the well known resort communities located within our boundaries. Skiing, fishing, rafting, biking, hiking and hunting are just a few of the reasons that tourists visit. We serve more than 375,000 permanent residents who enjoy the beauty of our area year-round.
